The employees that win are intrapreneurial and contribute by adding real value at their workplaces. These 20% winning employees are sufficiently progressing within their careers, increasing their knowledge, contacts, income, and position. These employees are the CEO of their lives.

However, many employees fail, and only a few ever succeed getting to become supervisors, managers, or company CEOs. Many take anything, life throws at them like passengers on a voyage to an unknown destination. Some likely engage in dirty office politics preoccupied with trying not to be fired from a job they dislike or trying to earn a job reference from a manager/company that may write bad things if they complain about say, racism, sexual harassment, discrimination or any other workplace illegalities. Such companies try to collude with others to victimise black or brown persons who are strong to discourage others. They collude with others trying to sabotage high performing employees that refuse to be bullied when they try to apply for other jobs, or simply when they move on.
Entrepreneurship is the Holy Grail. The entrepreneur’s successful ventures become their assets, reputation, business card, and work references. Successful entrepreneurs eventually become winners and game changers (Dr Beem Beeka)

Thus, after years of earning a set salary and enduring lack of growth or a ceiling for up to 40+ years. Some employees get made redundant, and many retire with regrets about wasting their life working in a toxic environment living in fear, wondering ‘what if?’ What could have happened had they been fearless and refused to be bullied? What could have happened had they pursued their own career goals rather than staying in a job role they disliked overseen by a bad manager they probably hated? Aristotle voiced that “paid employment “degrades the mind” but “pleasure in the job puts perfection in work”. You are more than a job. You are an important part of the universe.

A truth is that due to socio-economic situations many will dip in and out of jobs or careers solely to earn a salary. Forget the status quo life or career, in practice it sometimes only perpetuates injustice. A key to wealth is not to get stuck in any conventional unfocused job lane going through the motions forever afraid. From today work smart and stop complaining about your job and focus on building a career. No skill is wasted. Also, do both, gradually plan and ascend into the career plane for greater work-life satisfaction.

Extensive entrepreneurship research has shown that many highly skilled or high performing black and brown persons exit toxic workplaces and multinationals to start their own businesses or intrapreneurial careers in other fairer workplaces for bullying, racism, sexual harassment and other safety concern reasons and live more fulfilling lives. You are more than a few negative injustice experiences. There are millions of good people and companies in the world find them and work together.
Ultimately, you will survive your encounter with harassing & racist companies & institutions.

Therefore, this 1st October 2019 Nigerian 59th Independence Day or UK Black (or Brown) History Month 2019 only work in a company or with a manager that values your contributions because paid employment is fantastic when it works out for the individual. If you are experiencing bullying issues at work investigate how to get political, legal and psychological support. Then save up, build your skills and plan your eventual exit/escape from any toxic environment.

According to the UN Human Rights, Office of the High Commissioner the systems of law and justice meant to maintain a fair society, modern, sanity and are skewed against people of African descent.
Ultimately, you will survive all encounter with racist institutions. Therefore, celebrate the good in all humanity regardless of skin colour or creed. There are excellent humans from different parts of the world who are good, and will appreciate the value you contribute at work or in business. Don’t engage in self-pity, ignore or condone being maltreated, solve the problem or walk away from that which no longer serves you. Many people are pushed or pulled into great companies, intrapreneurship or entrepreneurship creating satisfying careers, more peaceful and happier lives. It is necessary to become an intrapreneurial employee because your transferable skills are invaluable and yours forever. Make the best fearless life decisions; you can become an entrepreneur or stay an employee ,but remain the CEO of your life. Look after number 1, YOU!
